I started flying at age 16 in Orlando and continued acquiring ratings over the years.
During college I did thousands of glider tows with MITSA in a C-150/180, Citabria and L-19. I did a lot of glider flying and some limited glider cross-country in a Schwietzer 1-34 and Janus B. I also obtained my Comm/Inst CFI in both power and gliders while in New England. In 1985 had a lot of fun adding the glider auto-tow launch rating to my CFI-G.
After moving to PA in 1997 I instructed with TAS for a few years, but I'm now semi-retired from teaching, prefering to work with a limited number students on special projects, or on advanced ratings.
I've worked at a several large Aerospace companies helping them make the safety critical DO-178B software design process more efficent. I specialize in Software configuration management using the Perforce SCM system on UNIX, Linux and Windows platforms.
Currently I do I.T. consulting for organizations looking to take advantage of the wealth of extreamly reliable free open source software such as:
- Web based customer relationship management
- Custom
content managementportals ( such as this one ) - Web based applictions and databases
- Asterisk IP PBX telephony solutions
- Distributed backup solutions for all your Laptops, Windows PC's and server ( no per client licences )
